Yesterday, 2024 Tampa Bay Rays leadership met with 2024 San Diego Padres leadership to put the finishing touches on a massive trade.
THE 2024 TAMPA BAY RAYS ACQUIRE:
ROBBY SNELLING - SP
Robby Snelling was drafted in the first round of the 2022 MLB June Amateur Draft by the San Diego Padres. Since then he has struck out 10 batters per nine innings and post ERA's at 2.34 or lower at every stop in the minors. He was a top-60 prospect preseason 2023 per MLB Pipeline, and will surely jump higher for 2024.
SAMUEL ZAVALA - OF
Here we have a talented young man named Samuel or "Sammy" to his close friends (us, now). Zavala is one of the most polished and talented teenage hitters in the minor leagues, and was also a top-100 prospect. We traded literally Aaron Civale for these two! LOL!

AARON CIVALE - SP
I mean come on, it's some random guy basically and he's in arb 2. Why would we even want "this" in the clubhouse.
