A couple hours ago, 2024 Tampa Bay Rays leadership met with 2024 Seattle Mariners leadership to put the finishing touches on a mystery box deal for each others' Minor League Baseball Blown Saves leader for 2023.

Jorge Benitez is the Mariners 33rd overall prospect per 2023 preseason Fangraphs rankings. His trademark is strikeouts, and lots of them. His other trademark is walks, and also lots of them. Expect him to be nothing.
THE 2024 DETROIT TIGERS ACQUIRE:
ALEXIS VALDEZ - RP
Alexis Valdez is a DSL reliever going into his age 19 season. In 2023 he blew 4 saves with a 14.85 SO9 and 8.05 BB9.
