In the early hours of the morning, 2024 Tampa Bay Rays leadership met with 2024 Detroit Tigers leadership to put the finishing touches on the opening volley to the offseason.
THE 2024 TAMPA BAY RAYS ACQUIRE:

ANDREW NAVIGATO - SS/2B/3B
Andrew Navigato is a right-handed infielder drafted in the 20th round of the 2019 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Detroit Tigers. He's slowly been mastering the A through AA levels. When he's "right" he's walking 9-10% of the time and he's hit 29 homers in AA since 2022. His name is also almost "Navigator" which is a bonus.

ZACK SHORT - SS/2B/3B
Zack Short is a 28 year-old infield utility player drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 17th round of the 2016 MLB June Amateur Draft. He was traded at the 2020 August MLB Trade Deadline for Cameron Maybin, and has since posted a .174/.266/.339 triple slash across 450 PA and a 6.00 ERA with 1 strikeout in 6.0 innings pitched.
THE 2024 DETROIT TIGERS ACQUIRE:

VIDAL BRUJAN - 2B/RF/SS
Vidal Brujan was signed as an international free agent in 2014 by the 2014 Tampa Bay Rays. Since then he has taken multiple leagues by storm, hitting 3 home runs and walking 17 times in the MLB over three seasons and. The Tigers really like Vidal's toolset and pedigree. Their GM has been hunting Brujan for up to four years now, and we were happy to make this happen.
