2024 Tampa Bay Rays leadership is happy to announce a pact with bangin' vibes king Joc Pederson for two years, $27,025,000 with an option for one year, $8,500,000. He will receive an additional $500,000 for reaching 350 PA's.

Joc Pederson, the myth himself. We needed a power bat in the lineup. We need an injection of vibes. The "haters" will say he's a platoon DH coming off a 111 wRC+ season. But his batted ball metrics and xwOBA suggest he was getting very unlucky and should've been closer to his 130-150 wRC+ previous performances. The option doesn't exist, that's just there because the Padres promised it to him, so we're just not going to pay that part if he exercises the fake option.
